Maybe it would help sharing with one of your partners that youre talking to someone new and are feeling excited about it? Sometimes talking it out and getting positive feedback can settle some of those uneasy feelings
I told a partner today and he was really supportive. Not in a permission-granting way. More of a, "You're always being the responsible one that gives and gives without doing enough self care. This might be self care" kind of way.

Hey. So I mentioned to someone I’m poly. They then said sorry I don’t like poly people. I told them I’m not interested in mono. No hard feelings. To this they reacted strongly “ no need to be an ass about it”. They went on to report my account (I assume) and drain me of my karma .
Everyone has their own preferences. Unfortunately, some people tend to take it a bit personally if your preference is different than theirs.
