In Washington state if you start at the coast, it is extremely cold water first of all and most of the year-round is very cool gray skies with a lot of precipitation

If you come in, then you get to the Puget Sound region. It’s a little less precipitation and slightly better weather.

As you go over the cascade mountains, you ran into what seems to be pretty much desert very dry area with massive farmland that only exist because the Columbia river

As you continue, East you have more farmland because of the Columbia River until you get to an area, that’s pretty desolate

Suddenly, you come to an area as you approach Spokane, where the trees are starting to grow again you’re getting back into a very nice area
