I know people been moving other places, but even those places are dead when I check
But I'm sure they are all going private those places too
Well the public rooms are just as dead because they have similar rules
Reminds me of the time a decade or so ago when all the desktop chats died
Actually probably 2 decades ago now
I'm often nostalgic for those days, but I have probably been here longer than I was there by now
It's very weird to see modern apps with less capabilities than those old desktop clients
Haha, it was a bit crazy back then too
Audio channels always muted cause someone was always playing music no one wanted to hear
Or some drunk who was too wasted to type
I had a regular room that must have been full of unemployed people cause everyone was always there
It's not like it was on a phone you took everywhere,had to be tied to a desk back then
I know dial up was still common, but I had a fairly slow dsl connection
That connection eventually got a lot faster but not on those days
I actually didn't cancel that old connection until about a month or so ago
Was still using it for my iot connection as it was more reliable even though it was ancient
I gave up attempting to download that and ordered the service disk
I remember it was like 3gb and I kept getting disconnected after about three days trying I have in
Waiting in a download queue for half an hour only to realize you got disconnected 😅
And that would have been for a 20mb file you can get in a second now
Remember trying several days to get a boot key for a game because the scratched disk wouldn't work anymore
