I didn't know my sister had an appointment the same day and well its not like we could've made it to my appointment to get my results. But he didnt tell me i guess cause he'd think wed make it. I heavily relate to this one. Communication with everyone is extremely important, especially direct communication with people. It's hard for me to understand if it's indirect communication. So frustrating.

Yesss! It's so frustrating because like.. my brain will try to alter what they're saying almost if it's not direct
Sometimes its literally so simple but i think since they struggle to communicate things and overthink and or afraid of being misunderstood etc sometimes it can come out in not the best way so they avoid communicating because it includes confrontation....
I realized i would do this since i was so used to that type of indirect communication

There's something called Americans with disabilities act if u live in the US. Ur employer has to make special accommodations if u have mental health issues

I don't live in the U.S. but if I told my employer I have a mental illness they'll say least fire me or worse sue me

Yeah, some places and ppl don’t take mental illness seriously 🤦 and then you have those who abuse the system 😑😑😑 and misuse it too loosely
And the fact that it’s been being taken advantage here in the us is beyond upsetting.

And those who really need the services, don’t get approved easily. And those who just misuse the system, gets approved and granted effortlessly 🤦
Oh yes they get easy access and benefits. It’s really unfair for those people who are really suffering from mental health problems. I feel bad. In my country where I originally came from don’t have access to mental health care and it’s not really a big thing there as 80-90% of people there don’t believe that mental illness is a serious problem. They just downplay it and blame you for it instead.
Sadly, that’s how some peeps still thinks about it 🤦
It's sort of the same where I live too. Many companies claim to advocate for mental health, but when someone wants to take time off due to declining mental health, they are not given that break. And neither is their workload adjusted. And eventually either their performance declines and they are made to leave or they leave on their own accord. It's just people failing each other at the end of the day.
And of course, the older generations dismiss mental health issues as some conspiracy theory where the large corporations invented mental health illness for more money. It's funny because they get depressed too and they admit it but when someone else says the same, they deny it all.
Yeah, ppl just falling between the gaps 🤦
