I did it the first couple years and then when me and my son's dad split up when he was two his grandpa just told him that he wasn't real

And I think it was because he couldn't afford a big Christmas

But it was still like messed up and I ended up just telling my son last year even if he doesn't believe it he doesn't need to talk to other kids about it because some of them do and I don't want their Christmas ruined

As much as I hate Christmas, if someone told one of my kids that it’s not real I’d legit come out swinging.

That’s messed up.

But I think we're going to do it for my daughter

Kids find out way too soon that the world is a horrible place sometimes.
