wicca is the most popular tbf, so it could probably be true. like the gateway to pagan religions
but tbf, I don't think there's really any actual statistics for it being the one people start with either way. especially since people have different viewpoints and definitions of it, a good amount wouldn't consider themselves pagans, and then a good amount of the ones who would tend to combine various different pagan ideologies and concepts
yess, i wasn't sayin it wasn't pagan, moreso that it opens the door to the other ones for a lot of people where they tend to pick and choose ideas and concepts to live by
yeah, it's not so much that the definition is vague, it's mostly people either not agreeing their belief is pagan, or aren't open toadmitting their belief is pagan. it's a small percentage that actually openly considers themselves pagan on surveys
