I don't have sympathy for stupid though
Well, there is a difference between "niceness" and "kindness". Sometimes the "kind" thing requires backbone, whereas "niceness" has no spine.
Yea it sometimes depends on the situation
I'll help someone out and not blink an eye
I mentioned a spine and other body parts appear.
That's the kind of stupid I'm talking about
Reminds me of a quote by John Wayne
We're surrounded by them lol
On a related, but different note, I think that people forget to be kind to theirselves and it isn't "kind" to let yourself be manipulated into something you don't feel comfortable with, don't have time for, the ability to accomodate, etc.
That's "niceness", which I don't see as a positive thing.
That can lead to people being more stupid than necessary
Luckily I've never been influenced by anyone or anything to the point where it could be detrimental to my well being. But I've known plenty of people over the years that can't say the same thing
That doesn't necessarily make them stupid though
No I mean on the part of the person doing the manipulating. So when we are not kind to ourselves and say no to something that should be said no to, then the other person often takes advantage of that and pushes harder.
I wasn't calling the person who capitulated 'stupid'.
I grew up with people around who were... lets say... less than stellar. I've seen a lot of things lol
The important thing is, knowing the difference
I can smell bs a mile away
At a young age I could tell right away if someone was full of it
I've always had the gift of reading people
I can see right through them
That's the reason I've walked out of more meetings at work than I can count lol
well fish, you're always welcome to join the conversation
I disappeared one time from work for over a week
But this one time at band camp ! Lol
>>> hiya sheep
hiya too blue
>>> sleep well sir pig>>> You too Blue
Quite a day. Time to put it and myself to bed. Night all!
