I guess for maximum real time 3D gameplay it’s still the best option, but for AI, amd AI Max+ 395 is infinitely better, it can access 128Gigs of RAM, which more than makes up for the difference in computing power
Don’t know what nvidia is thinking, maybe they’ve been unchallenged in the AI space for too long, competition is soon gonna be biting at their heels
Both amd and intel build npu resources into their cpus now, and at least for me, this solution is a lot more flexible than a dedicated gpu which takes as much power as an oven 🙄
Right now, consumer gpus from any manufacturer don’t have enough VRAM for modern AI, and a pro card like the A100 isn’t worth the money. I don’t game on PC anymore, I just do PS5, so I don’t need a bleeding edge GPU
AI these days is all about fast memory, large memory, fast ssd, large ssd. Basically it’s a giant memory hog.
Depends, can be one two or three. Would be nice to limit to one, but the brain seems to need more than that 😅
