If you search cartoons on anti there are no room for that, but if you search anime there are like 20
While you aren’t wrong. My heart believes western “cartoons” should not sit at the same table as anime
Probably why cartoons don’t have their own group 🗿their following maybe lower than eastern animation
I strongly prefer western shows. There are like 2 anime tops that could sit with BoJack, Simpsons, Arcane, ATLA, Adventure Time
More movies if we count anime movies, there are 3-4 Japanese directors that makemade masterpiece movies

All I can say it to each their own. I grew up on cartoons but when I found anime I was enlightened. So I think background plays into preferences
On imdb toplists the westerneastern animation ratio is about 50-50% both for rating and number of views. (I don't agree their ratings, I prefer western haha)
