Soak them for an hour or so.. overnight, the better. The wood skewers, soak for 15mins in a hot water
To add more flavor to the meat (bbq), scoop a good amount of leftover marinade, leftover sprite, and brownsugar (mix altogether). Brush each side of the meat before turning over.

Fish ball and other stuff with vinegar dipping sauce and some chili... I do try from time to time, depending on how spicy
