1. It is POSSIBLE that the beings are still humans, IF and only IF Christopher Nolan would have put in the movie that the beings were not the reason for humanity being saved. That would solve the paradox. If the beings evolved from humans being saved on earth, but were NOT the cause of that salvation. Then that would make sense…you follow?
