Hey everyone live in Frederick

How are things there?

I used to work in Frederick but haven't been there in a while

Not too sure I'm not from Maryland at all just moved here

Oh ok

Where did you move from and what do you think of the area so far?

From what I understand downtown has a nice little foodie scene

From Texas

And I know there is a walking trail there because I went to it one time

Maryland has some nice parks

And I honestly just stay at home not much of a life by choice though

Yeah I understand. I'm the same way these days although before covid I used to love exploring new places

Well if you decide you want to meet anyone I know that the DMV has a lot of meetups. Not sure if they extend to Frederick but they might even have some virtual stuff going on

But I will say that Maryland has some really nice parks if you like exploring places

I don't really know of much in the Frederick area but Montgomery County and some of the other counties have really nice parks and Annapolis is also fun to visit. It would be a bit of a drive for you but worth checking out if you have a day free

What part of Texas are you from? Was it a diverse area?

Well thank you! I wanna go snow boarding this winter not good at it but would be fun

Its been hard finding friends just a good crew of friends

Oh yeah definitely do that. I don't know of any places to recommend but if there's any place for skiing they probably have snowboarding there too

Yeah I understand. It's always good to have someone nearby that you can trust. Specially in case of an emergency. It's important to know your neighbors or somebody in the area. Just so you aren't completely alone

It's difficult to meet people when you don't really want to socialize LOL

I'm very covid cautious so I don't like to get together in person anymore

That is true. However I would love to meet people that aren't with people I work with

And there are quite a few people on this app from that area as well

Just be really careful with anyone from here. Screen them well. Chat with them for a while before agreeing to meet anyone

I don't know if you're into the holidays but even if you're not religious there are some really beautiful holiday light displays in the area

Especially if you go down to Moco

The Mormon Temple has a light display there where they light up all of the trees and it's pretty intense LOL and there's also a park in Moco that has this really nice walkthrough with like animated lit up figures and stuff and then they also have the ones that you can drive through with your car

Gaithersburg has a big one that you can drive through. It's off of Great Seneca Highway.. It never disappoints

Brookside Gardens in Wheaton

That is really beautiful!

. When spring time comes around there are a couple of Azalea Gardens that you can check out there as well

Not at the Wheaton location but there are two other Azalea Gardens in Maryland that I'm thinking of that are really beautiful

Brookside Gardens is really nice though and they also have a greenhouse as part of the walk-through light display where they house a whole miniature Village with a little model train it's really cute
