What does kindness alone has to do with boasting? You don't earn a better seat in Heaven 'cause in your opinion you have done more than someone else
Also if you do it to be saved, you won't be saved

It literally says we are not saved by our works, but through our Faith
It doesn't say not works alone. It says not works, but faith

Just like people doing things to please God so they can go to Heaven
Or is it outta fear? Selfishness?
I prefer to think we first believe and are saved through faith. Then we naturally feel grateful and do good works out of good will not just to be saved, period.
We first choose Christ and trust on Him. Then the more we know Christ, the less we are inclined to sin and the more we naturally love Christ Jesus

Iโm not sure if all celebrities want to seen giving, i think some do it trying to find meaning in life. because once they achieve all that money and fame. They will still be empty without God
So what better way to feel good about yourself and to have meaning, then to donate money to charities
