Turtle, you legally can’t be evicted over this. They actually need to give you several months notice AND you need to miss at least 2 rent payments for them to even begin proceedings. The only way you’re getting evicted sooner is if they sell, and they can’t with the electric not working.
Not having GFCI near water is against code. Your landlord can get into a ton of trouble if he’s got an outlet without them within proximity to a water source.
