I did crossfit for a while. I didn't like how they did snatches, it hurt my wrists.
They were fun when I was younger. Now, I can't imagine a situation where I'd need to move that much weight that fast. I feel like the chances of tearing a muscle like that are pretty high
When I was power lifting, many moons ago. I had 3 minute rests between working sets.
The difference between resting and not resting is huge
Now I do between 1-2 mins. Depending how I feel, I focus a lot more on form and successful completing my set.
Somethings I liked from CrossFit were the dragging stuff, pushing stuff, climbing ropes. The snatches, jumping up onto a box, how they turned the bench press into cardio I didn't like.
I prefer power lifting, feels more practical and focuses more on form and power. Feel like it's easier on the joints and is less prone to injury if done right
