Hello, I’m just back for a bit, need to disconnect from the fact that This week has been insane. I had to take an emergency flight to Peru because my dad got sick while visiting his sisters and he had an emergency operation. According to doctors he likely has colon cancer so yep. Now he’s in the intensive care unit under observation because his kidneys are struggling so yep. I’m just praying he makes it.

I'm so sorry Chesca, will pray for him♥️ everything will work out well.

After a few crazy days, my dad is doing better, hopefully he will be out of intensive care by mid this week

So after my visit today I can say my dad is going much better, he’ll likely get out of ICU tomorrow as he has responded well to treatment but he will have to stay another week to make sure his stoma is functioning properly and that he can take care of it properly, also to finish the round of antibiotics

Peruvian hospital food… they have a dish made out of corn that is sweet, and has more nourishment than jello 👀🥤

I have scoured the depths of fb marketplace and have found so much fascinating and weird sht that should probably never see the light of day

But I’m still gonna share it anyways

In other news, it’s likely that my dad will be taken out of intensive care today, I’m preying for that, he will be sent to a normal room and from there it’s a matter of finishing some rounds of meds, teaching him what he can and can’t do and in another week we will probably be able to go home

And I know it’s similar to the other update but when they tried to give him food that day one of the nurses gave him too much water and he vomited so he was kept another day on intensive care just to prevent him drowning on his own vomit

I’m glad he’s doing better, Ches. If possible, monitor the nurses every time they come in the room and don’t be afraid to ask for a different nurse!

Nurses here have been spectacular actually, it was him who sneaked the extra glasses cause it’s different nurses that enter constantly 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ he basically fooled them 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ anyways I’m just waiting for the call of the room were he will be staying

Oh dang lol. Glad they’re taking good care of him

We are finally back on a regular room, he’s only with electrolytes to recover all that he’s lost and the iv nutrition line until he can properly eat his diet 🙌🏼
