that lifelong brotherhood
Covid really rocked my world and showed me people's character in a way that quite frankly, shocked me
sincerity and deep care for each other and belonging no matter what background
You show that you're willing to support them and they'll be your buddy for a long time
I've had bad luck with the vets I've spent time with in these parts. i need to keep trying
haha that's the only thing around my town sadly
that makes sense. that was my problem then
One buddy is a marine and he knows he gets bad when drunk
We probably have more bars and liquor stores than restaurants
Do you have anyone in your family that served, ever? If so you can join sons of the American Legion and you'll meet some great vets that way
i just heard way too much racism and woman hating and homophobia ): i didn't wanna keep hanging out with them
my grandfather from back home served in the chair force
You'll hear that in any group, anywhere. It's not limited to vets

very true
>>> my grandfather from back home served in th...
joking by the way ☝🏻
Not even learns the best. Like everything else, there are the @ssholes
The chair force is a distinguished group
it seems those are the loudest ones around me. but then again I'm in rural farmland
Just like the nasty girls, weekend warriors, temp troops
lol what's the nasty girls
I've heard all kinds of names
Guard and reserve are kinda lumped together
i love learning new stuff
Funny part, our deployments are twice as long as regular army
National guard is state, reserve is federal. Same idea.
Guard also handles state emergencies
Tony, I'm sorry if my disagreements with you earlier came off as a personal attack or an oversimplified exaggeration. i should have phrased my contrasted views in a more civil manner. i respect you and i apologize.
Lately people flip out too easily
it's very difficult times politically in this country no matter which side you may feel more aligned with
frightening time in our history just speaking about the polarization alone
One of the major hurdles is people not allowing people to think differently than them
You're shut down and called racist
Transphobic, garbage like that
People need to get to know you before saying that garbage
i think it's best those are discussions we avoid most likely
Those aspects usually shine through pretty fast
I'll admit, I've been an @sshole before
