you’re not getting it. its not laziness it’s about real barriers like mental health and lack of support. opportunity are there, but not everyone has equal access to them
So the refugees and other people that come here with nothing from war torn countries that make it in the U.K. don’t have mental health issues like PTSD from being in war torn countries?
i wanna cook you for this but imma be respectful
Proud of you (‘:
don’t get used to it
Shh, don’t ruin it
many refugees are given support and access to resources that help them rebuild. the difference is that they often have access to a system that offers them opportunities, whereas others born here may not have the same level of support or pathways to success
All those opportunities are available to Brits to. Just have to get off your arse and take them
only in theory. theory, but in reality, not everyone starts from the same place
That’s my point. People in war torn countries can do better than people born in this country? Make it make sense. We are given too much and expect too much
THAT IS THE POINT. it proves the system can work when people are supported. So why are we blaming the ones left behind instead of fixing what’s broken
Because we shouldn’t need as much support. How many of your family have died to wars? How much have you lost to being born into poverty in another country?
that’s why we should be doing better. we haven’t lost everything to war or famine, and yet so many are still struggling
