I think you mean to compare KTP and parallel. Kitchen table polyamory means all partners have met and are on friendly enough terms to share a meal "around a kitchen table"

Solopolyamory just means I have a lower stop on the relationship escalator than would be expected in a "standard relationship trajectory"

As a person practicing Solo poly. I don't live with partners, want to get married, have kids, etc

Not knowing about each other's partners would be some sort of open relationship or don't ask to don't tell situation

Solo poly is about how I interact with my partners and ktp, parallel, DATD are how your partners interact with each other. So just slightly different categories there, if that makes sense

That's actually the difference between parallel and DADT. In parallel, you absolutely know about your partner's other partners. You just don't usually meet or spendtime with them

I did practice parallel for a few years, but found KTP to be a better fit for me personally.

Some people also prefer garden party polyamory. Where you have met and see each other at overlapping social events but there isn't actually a desire to build a friendship there

Totally agree. Ktp can be challenging and doesn't fit All situations.
