AMD vs Intel being more compatible with things makes no sense. a processor's a processor. as long as it can run what you're trying to run it'll run

if you're talking about hardware compatability i still don't see the issue. you'd just need a motherboard that supports your processor

I just went with a screen protector all these years with my switch rather than a full case. I do have some travel cases though for my switch and my games are all in multi game card holders
