🤷 just the truth. I believed a false work based salvation for many years but about five years ago I broke and fell on my face calling out to God for the Truth. He answered a simple answer.
Jesus.
I've been studying and searching for the truth ever since.
God is Good and faithful. Seek and you will find.
We are saved by grace, through faith, a gift of God. Not works, lest any man should boast.

I’m a Christian.. how do I fight off temptation? I feel like I’ll do fine and then something will happen that brings my guard down…
It's a battle Dave. Temptation is the enemy's main weapon. So I'd say the very best way to fight the battle is through Ephesians 6, the full armor of God.
And also using Jesus Christ's example. When He was tempted in the desert He used The Word of God, Scriptures, to defeat the devil.
Resist him and he must flee.
When we try to resist with our own will, we tend to eventually fail because he just keeps trying but when we turn to God by going to His Word then the enemy must flee.
So when you're feeling temptation, open your bible and start reading out loud.
