What gets tricky is stout that’s vanillawhiskey aged can develop soy sauce flavors if they’re fermented on the yeast too long. Vanilla accentuates the soy flavor

Autolysis causes flavors like soy sauce if a beer is aged too long on the yeast

So you can spend ages making a beer just to have something you would use for soy sauce
