Meh, chilly but not freezing at the moment
Hasn’t been warm enough to melt all the snow off the ground yet
I know, I lived in Houston for a year for finishing my apprenticeship
I stomached my way through it. Not fond of Houston. I was apprenticing as a lineman
Stepping outside at 5am and immediately being drenched in sweat isn’t my forte.
And traffic is worst I’ve ever experienced
To get anywhere fast you have to drive very rudely
And it’s the only place I’ve been robbed in broad daylight
And that’s saying a lot as someone who’s from the St. Louis area
Not kidding. Just parked my truck, stepped out to look at work 20 feet away. Some pickup pulls up, opens my bin and starts stealing tools as I’ve got my back turned.
Chased after them to no avail
Another time while at the front of my pickup, some rando smashed the window out of the back door with a pickle jar and ran off with more tools.
People in Houston will rob you in broad daylight, no joke
