May be a dumb question but being poly are you typically sexually involved with both parties of a couple or can it be with one of them?

I also had a little fling with my friend and her husband and that really got me interested in it lol
I have always believed that you can love more than one person. The idea of swinging doesn’t interest me because I want to be able to build that relationship and not just take it as having fun with multiple partners. (Not sure if that makes sense 😂)
Of course- like I mentioned I believe everyone can love multiple people not just myself 🙂
