The people that made it actually went out and played at bars,clubs and other places. It's kinda like a food company going out to hand out free food samples
I’d imagine that’s less and less true in this day and age. Connections and privilege also counts for a lot, you look at the backstory of many that make there’s often a back door they had that helped them.
Some people get lucky and know somebody but people still work very hard to become successful
A key to a door helps though
It does but many have to earn that key and some are just given it
I feel if you’re passionate about something, posting will attract the right audience who will support you.
If they hear what you're selling first. People follow things that they see or hear. Not based off the name of it
