What grade are you teaching?
Ah yes. It gets even worse for me when they realize that they can do literally nothing and the worst grade I can give them is a 55% and that will average with the 2nd marking period to make up their semester grade. So they can do nothing, then get a 75 in the 2nd marking period and still pass.
