Except this time it will probably be UK plus the US, isn’t it cool how history comes full circle?
And this is the thing. Most Americans, about this situation don’t care, they only make jokes, as if it’s no big to have your closest ally backstab you take what you have by force. As if that’s not wrong.
I wonder what kind of funny jokes Americans will make about the first dead Canadian bodies. They’ll probably piss on them and throw a party.

I've seen him around a few times
Trump first threatening to ruin our economy (and probably also his own) if we don’t do what the US wants. Then .. the US president-elect suggesting that Canada be annexed at that our Prime Minister should become a governor at an official diplomatic dinner.
It’s really very clear from the president-elects actions and words that the US fully intends to acquire Canada’s resources for itself at some point. You don’t insult your closest ally’s leader and suggest that his country become part of your own under any circumstances unless you mean it.
We know the US is warlike, we know that they have no problem invading oil-rich countries under false pretenses. The US president-elect is already making jokes to the leader of another country (a former ally at that) about taking over. What more evidence other people need, I’m not sure.
Just because Avengers Infinity were good movies doesn’t actually mean Americans are mighty heroes for truth and justice. We haven’t done a single thing to provoke this, as best as I can tell, the US intends to conquer us simply because it can.
I also think that if people think the US will stop at Canada and Mexico, they are very naive
The part I’m the saddest about is that the American people seem 100% behind this, that’s the part I can’t get over. And I’m not being sarcastic, I truly don’t understand how Americans are really okay with this, unless you really think it’s about fentanyl or drug trafficking.
Oh forgive me. Obviously none of what I’m saying could possibly be true…
