I always remember when I was a kid we went to Spain on holiday. My dad bought a leather jacket that was over the customs limit

So my parents put in the suitcase, in the bag with the receipt. My mother looked terrified like she was carrying drugs of something as we walked through customs

So if I buy something expensive on holiday, I wear it like I’ve owned it forever walking through customs on the way home 🤣

lol that’s funny customs never even used to be that strict back in the day 😂

I have no clue why they didn’t stop her apart from the fact that she was travelling from Majorca with family. But why would you put it in the suitcase in the original bag anyway? 🤣

Customs should have seized the jacket anyway, it was hideous 🤣🤣🤣

My dad isn’t known for his fashion sense 🤣

Nah, she suffered from terrible anxiety

It wasn’t until I travelled as an adult that I realised that flying could be fun and stress free

I remember when we travelled back from Germany in the 80’s my mother smoked a cigarettes on the flight and everyone was tutting and she got told off 💀 she didn’t give a fk lol

You’d get thrown off now 😅🤣

To be fair, even my mum who was a heavy smoker would wait until after we landed 🤣

She even incited a couple of other people to light up as well 🤦‍♀️

If one is already doing it and seeing there’s no real repercussions other less brave will join in 🤷‍♀️

You could literally see the smog coming up the plane as they opened it 🤣🤣🤣

Lol it used to be really bad didn’t it 😂

Yup, I’m not going to lie, I don’t miss that aspect of the 80’s
