It's like with Peter, when he said he'd never deny Jesus
But Jesus knew in certain circumstances Peter would be afraid of being rejected by other and would deny Jesus to avoid being rejected
Jesus knew Peter better then he knew himself
But what I think is crazy is Jesus knew who Peter really was, and still called him to be his disciple

Jesus said this to woman at well in John chapter 4

I think they know the truth.It's not our job to convict people and change their mind, that's the Holy Spirit's job. Out job is to tell people what's right and let God do the rest
