What are you currently reading?

I’m in a dumb slump this moment. But i will read anything that catches my interest. I love fiction, anything centered around history or archeology, lost treasure, and I love to read more contemporary fiction too.

I probably didn’t phrase that right, but I love James Rollins, David Baldacci, Preston and Child.

This is my current book. But i sat it down and haven’t picked it back up yet. I don’t know for sure, but i think the author is making it mirror Homer’s Odyssey

It’s set during the Great Depression and four kids are on the run from a boarding school that was more like a prison.

I heard that it was well received. He talked about how hard it was to follow it up in his foreword of this book.

I finally finished This Tender Land and it was overall a dud for me.

To me it felt like the author was trying way too hard to make it feel like a profound work.

Maybe part of it was because it was an audio book and how the narrator spoke, but it just felt like he was trying so hard to make it a thinker and he threw in these big twists at the end that I think were supposed to make you go “ohh”. But they kind of annoyed me.

I would actually love it if you read it so we could compare notes 😂

I don’t know Tripp. If I had read it in print i think iwould have set it down and not picked it back up.

It’s fairly rare for me to straight up not like a novel.
