Also, pulled the trigger on a gps watch. Been relying on my phone with a samsung tablet as back for gps while bikepacking, now gonna try and go with watch and phone as backup so I can swap tablet for a lightweight laptop. Weâll see how that goes.

So, I got the Forerunner 955, I agonised over this vs the Coros Apex 2 Pro, but the Garmin was on sale and despite having less battery life, most reviewers seemed to like using the garmin more. So for so good, about to go for a walk so will see how well the gps works (my primary purpose for it)
The ios app and the macosx âexpressâ app are a bit fidgety, also thereâs a small learning curve to using it. So far Iâve just set it up and updated the software (but not the maps), put a bit of music on it and am listening to some music over bluetooth. Will take a long time I think to get a sense for it.
