Well after some research I'm less upset about the $80 for games like Zelda. I didn't know about the upgrade packs for people who own the Switch 1 version. It's just like the DLC for Mario Kart and Animal Crossing. I can purchase an upgrade pack or just pay for Nintendo Online. I plan on having the online service anyway. I won't have to pay extra. Well done, Nintendo.

Also, the physical Switch 2 enhanced games only include the Switch 1 game cart and download code for the enhanced visuals...

I’m not American but surely what trump is doing with these tariffs is going to hurt switch 2 sales. Video game sales in general stateside will surely be affected. Not to mention the cost of merely living and surviving etc 😔

The gaming industry in America alone is big enough that trump will relook at the tariffs, I wouldn’t worry too much until an official announcement from Nintendo but he has been on a tariff addiction lately

I was never going to look at getting the switch 2 on launch so I’ll be looking at potential deals as we get near to Christmas

I think I’m definitely going to need to curb my spending on games at least and be more selective rather than just regularly taking punts on game titles with a small amount of disposable income I could use on treating myself

Less and less day one game releases for me too as I have been picking up switch games a little cheaper after initial release

Switch released in March didnt it and I bought that for myself the Christmas of that year so there was a decent library of games to already invest in 👍🏼

I definitely have a backlog big enough to keep my occupied even on the newer switch 2 hardware before even dipping into the array of games that the new system will have

I had the opportunity to preorder through Nintendo store but I’m putting off switch 2 until maybe Christmas time at the earliest. Think their preorders are now open to anyone 🇬🇧 rather than reserved

So Nintendo is offering free upgrades for some Switch games on the Switch 2. Im hoping for better frame rates in Link's Awakening. Pokemon Violet is also in need of the improvement.
