If the Jewish people were known for meticulously preserving their scriptures and the stories of their prophets, and we have historical and textual evidence confirming this, then why does the Quran present accounts of these prophets that contradict or alter well-documented Jewish history?

Mohammed never split the moon. He admitted himself that he was only a messenger, and it came with no miracles.
He admitted hes a messenger cuz he was a normal man not a god, he was only able to perform miracles due to Allah helping to prove hes a messenger. Never claimed it to be his own power
