Stupid iCloud lock it’s attached to an Apple ID I actually send a dm to the original owner on a different app

It’s like the hardware is attached to an email but if the old owner doesn’t I attach or forgets their email or doesn’t use the apple products anymore then effectively you can never reset he hardware and it will always be locked

Difficult to explain I thought I could reset it in safe mode with a bootable usb drive of osx but no it’s permanently attached but like I said I reached out to previous owner hopefully that resolves it

I tried that years ago with my Mac. Constant cycle of booting. I replaced almost everything. Finally I sledged it to death.
