What Has meant was he confirmed the authentic scriptures but at the point of Mohammad those authentic scriptures were already changed so basically Mohammad and the Quran were like hey look those scriptures once existed and we confirm they once did, but now they have been changed and thus we need a final revelation i.e the Quran
