And Methodists tend to not believe in purgatory
Methodists also would agree with the concept of Sola Scriptura
That means that the Scriptures are the only source of divine authority for the believer.
Catholics would believe that anything that the current pope says ex cathedra supercedes the Scriptures
I would agree that they are against the Bible, but a Methodist would argue that they are allowed depending on your interpretation of the Bible
But they do not look to other texts as additional authority along with or above the Bible
But sadly there are some who see the Bible as God’s Word but they do not see its writings as literal
And predestination is a controversial topic among most denominations
