I had cats once those were taken from me

The woman I love kept them all when she asked me to leave about 3-4 years ago

Glad you have that--I don't even get that much anymore

All the people I look for when I'm sad and depressed are nowhere to be found whether human or animal

My former optimism hope and resilience have been frail to say the least over the past year or more give or take

Maintaining the hope that it will improve certainly challenging lately

Going to work out of necessity and observing how many people only interact and appear to care when you're there but not so much when you leave

Doesn't help the optimism much

Speaking of work, I suppose I should try to force myself to sleep here from my early day tomorrow

Thanks for putting up with my depressive venting y'all

When you put up with that kind of act for over 10 years it's hard to apply the benefit of the doubt to anyone in that regard it's very personal at that point

And actually that's the point is people not being willing to know your story or willing to share when you present yourselves with genuine interest in theirs

I applaud your resilience to keep trying

Lately mine has been worn down

Haven't given up yet but my limits are being severely tested for sure

In the meantime I'm going to try to rest
