It got dark and didn’t have a flashlight so hikes in the dark a little
VoF did a full moon hike as well as a new moon hike
I looked into it one and was booked like you said
Marley wants to go and I don’t leash him….not sure if he would be allowed to go off leash in that hike
RR closed the entry at 5:00 but closes the road at 7:00 so I get two hours of night hike time
Yeah the weekend we were there was a full moon
Can you camp overnight at RR?
There is a campground nearby within a couple miles
I think night hikes at VoF are led by rangers. So no to off leash
I don’t know if you can camp in RR. I will check it out
Probably got there tomorrow
Busy with plumbing things at home today
When we were at VoF, they came by and announced they were closing and anyone still there would be ticketed. It was before it got dark
Most national parks are open 24 hours
I left RR at 6:00, I was about the last person there
I did see a light on a cliff face where climbers go. They may have overnights
I will check because I like being out in nature at night. Peaceful
I prefer a warm cozy bed with lots of blankets
Haha. Last time I camped out was 5 years ago
A bear came into camp overnight
Up by Lake Tahoe in desolation wilderness area
Before Vegas I was in the San Francisco Bay Area
Stayed in a tent cabin at Kings Canyon. Plywood walls with a canvas roof and beds inside
It was august so not too cold
Same with when I went, it was a full moon and mild at night
Shared showers and toilets in another building but close by
At least there was showers and toilets
Are you still dog sitting
Yeah I’m a clean freak. Need to shower daily
The time I went there were no facilities
Actually yes 🐶 but different dog
I was filthy when I got home
