It’s the whole reason I got into law enforcement. “Protect and serve” there is a whole section of the community that is severely underserved. And due to the lack of mental health services most of them end up in a revolving door of being in and out of jail.

It really depends on the agency, I used to be a bodyguard before I got into this. I was EXTREMELY SUPER DUPER picky about were I put in applications. Sheriffs office’s tend to do better with this than municipal departments because the sheriff doesn’t answer to the mayor and his her agenda
