This story has helped me make an extra effort to pay attention to people who usually go unnoticed. The housekeeper at the hotel. The busser cleaning the table. The guy filling the hole on the street corner. The police officer who pulled alongside me at a stoplight. I gave them all my full-on respect today.
And let them know they were seen and appreciated by at least one person. Me.
Sometimes that’s all it takes.

Reminds me of a real incident. A woman used to work in a cold factory. Every day when she enters the factory she greets the watchman. One day she didn't greet the watchman when she left, he noticed it and searched all the factory. She was in a cold room and it was locked as the staff thought everyone left and locked all rooms. But watchman noticed because she didn't greet him and he searched all factory and found her she is alive.
Watchman was a good man hence.. if u were in tht watchman place old lady wud be dead in cold room
