Nope, he lied about a new, very well paid job (which I knew about but couldn’t prove), so he did better from the divorce than I did
I basically left everything behind so I could get away from him. People suck
Physical possessions are much less important than your own well-being. I've known a few people, men and women, who have walked away from almost everything to get away from a bad situation, and rebuilt happier.
yeah i walked away with just a packed bag of clothes 5 years ago and i think about all the books i left behind a lot 😭 i had hundreds and they held memories for me but my life was worth more 🤷♀️
Problem is that my health is too unpredictable, so it would have been a huge gamble leaving with nothing
