A real narcissist almost destroyed my life. She was a friend, met through a friend app (actual friend) that I introduced to a budding friend group. Everyone she dated she described as “crazy” and blamed everyone, even multiple therapists, as failing her. I caught her lying about mutual friends and it shattered her image. Immediate narcissistic break with fallout.

Said this one the other day, but my married advisor had an affair with me in college. Found out later she was horribly mean to every one of her other grad students, except me, and obviously I know why.

Then we went in a conference trip together and we worked on way more than the presentation I was doing next day.

Me too, connect the numbers is tough though once you get into those higher numbers. I’m sweatin it.

Trying to build new friend groups is also very tough as I recently made an extreme amount of wealth in a startup I created — potential friends seem to treat us as differently without hardship (this is largely true now, but we do come from poor families originally). What’s worse, people that do have similar circumstances to us now are just horrible people to us and typically don’t align with our political beliefs. It’s really really tough. “What do youdo” is the most common question when meeting anyone.
